What are "Corrective Exercises"?

A corrective strategy is your at-home solution for treating your pain. Whenever a plan is available, your therapist will guide you through corrective exercises, stretches and/or simple lifestyle modifications that will help you improve your range of motion, decrease pain, reduce risk of injury, release tension and improve performance for your daily life.

Typically, this valuable time is designated at the end of an Orthopedic Massage Therapy session.
For a more comprehensive approach to treating your pain, ask about the Functional Movement Appraisal.

Purpose and Benefits of a Corrective Plan:

To better serve our athletes, corrective exercises are designed to:

  • Reduce pain
  • Increase flexibility and mobility
  • Improve performance
  • Reduce risk of injury
  • Continue progress from treatment
  • Educate on body mechanics
  • Provide convenient, accessible care

... all from the comfort of your home or local gym

Consult your physician if you have any heart complications (such as low blood pressure or a history of strokes/arrhythmias) and are considering massage therapy as a part of your wellness plan.
